Open polder land, sunken villages, tidal wetlands - the LF10 takes you all along the Dutch Wadden Sea coast.

Dykes and open polder land stretch out forever along this part of the coast. The former island of Wieringen and National Park Lauwersmeer add some welcome variation. In the fishing villages of Harlingen and Lauwersoog you can take a ferry to one of the Wadden Islands. You also get to cycle over the Afsluitdijk, an impressive dam of 32 kilometres that closes off the former Zuiderzee - it’s something you should experience at least once in your life!

Together the LF10 and the Dutch Coastal Route - the Dutch section of the North Sea Cycle Route. For more on this European cycle route go to www.northsea-cycle.com.
